What it is: This card game is the kid-friendly equivalent of “Cards Against Humanity.”

Brain Benefits:attention, reading, visual and auditory processing, logic & reasoning, creativity, processing speed

What I love: I absolutely LOVE “Cards Against Humanity” but don’t feel it’s appropriate for my tweens. That’s why I was so excited to find “Kids Against Maturity.” This funny fill-in-the-blank card game is similar in format but with more age-appropriate humor. Each set includes 500 question and answer cards. The game is incredibly simple to use: each question-asker chooses the funniest answer from the other players and the person with the greatest amount of most amusing responses wins. This is a great game for families with kids of varying ages because as long as a child can read, they can play. Be forewarned that this game has some childish humor (think flatulent unicorns), but as long as you’re not a stickler for etiquette, you should be just fine. “Kids Against Maturity” has won numerous awards, including a 2020 Mom’s Choice Award, a Tillywig for Best Family Fun and a 2020 National Parenting Product Award, among others. You can also purchase the expansion pack once you make it through all the cards in the box.

What I would change: Older teens may get a bit bored by the silliness so it would be nice to have two sets of response cards mixed in the box; one for kids and one for older teens.
